Opening ceremony of the new six-story office took place at Myanmar Nurse and Midwife Council (MNMC) on Bogyoke Museum Road of Bahan Township in Yangon Region with an address by Union Minister for Health Professor Dr Thet Khaing Win, Chief Minister of Yangon Region U Soe Thein and MNMC President Daw New New Khin.
On occasion, the Union Minister and Chief Minister sprinkled scented water on the plaque of the building. The Union Minister, Chief Minister and party viewed round the library, the skill laboratory and office rooms of MNMC.
Also present at the ceremony were Director Generals of Directorate of Medical Services and Directorate of Human Resource for Health and senior officials from Ministry of Health, responsible personnel of government of the Yangon Region, Central Executive Committee Members and all members of MNMC, Rector of University of Nursing (Yangon) and representative nurses and midwives from public and private hospitals, and Nursing and Midwifery Training Schools in Yangon.
