Myanmar Nurse and Midwife Council (MNMC) held a two day workshop on Dissemination of  Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Guideline and Relicensing Process for Nurses and Midwives at University of Nursing (Yangon) on 28-29 August, 2024. Dr Daw Thidar Hla (Rector-Medical Superintendent) of Yangon General Hospital delivered the opening remark and Daw Nwe Nwe Khin, President of MNMC provided the welcome remark. Presidents of Myanmar Medical Council, Myanmar Dental Council, Myanmar Medical Sciences Academy and Myanmar Medical Association, Medical Superintendents of Central Level Hospitals in Yangon and Rector of the University of Nursing (Yangon) attended the opening ceremony of the workshop. President and Central Executive Committe (CEC) members shared the following topics at a two day dissemination event:

A total of 200 participants including nursing superintendents (deputy directors, assistant directors), matrons, nursing officers, sisters, staff nurses and trained nurses from hospitals and clinics  under the Directorate of Medical Services and assistants directors, nursing officers and township health nurses, staff nurses and trained nurses from departments under Directorate of Public Health attended the first day of workshop.

 

On seconday of workshop, Daw Nwe Nwe Khin delivered the welcome remark. A total of 200 participants including pro-rector and head of Departments of University of Nursing (Yangon), senior principals (deputy directors, assistant directors), and principals and teaching staff of the Nursing/Nursing and Midwifery Training School attended the workshop. Also present on the occasion were head of departments of Military Institute of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences and Matrons and staff from Defence Services Hospital in Yangon, nurses and midwives from private hospitals in Yangon. Participants raised the questions at question and answer (Q and A) sessions of Day 1 and day 2 of the workshop.
